10 Months Old and Already Making a Mess

Ten months. It feels like we just brought him home, and suddenly he’s crawling with confidence, pulling himself up on everything, and showing us his personality in new ways every single day.

For his 10 month milestone photos, we chose something playful and perfectly fitting for this stage of life: pretend play. The theme was a little baker in the making. No expectations. No perfection. Just curiosity, movement, and freedom to explore.

We set him on the floor with eggs, a bit of flour, and plenty of room to make a mess. What followed was exactly what childhood should look like. Hands reaching. Eggs rolling. Flour everywhere. He studied every texture, crawled away, then came back with even more excitement. Nothing was staged. Everything was real.

At ten months old, the world is still brand new. Every sound, every texture, every moment matters. Watching him smash eggs and proudly inspect the results felt like witnessing pure discovery. These are the moments that don’t repeat themselves.

This session was a reminder of why I believe so deeply in framing memories and capturing emotion. These images aren’t about perfect smiles or clean floors. They’re about documenting life as it is. Messy, joyful, and beautifully fleeting.

If you’re thinking about documenting your child’s milestones in a way that feels natural and meaningful, this is your sign. These seasons move fast, but photographs have a way of holding onto them long after the mess is cleaned up.

These photos will one day tell the story of who he was at ten months old. Curious hands dusted with flour. A serious expression full of wonder. Laughter in between the mess. Moments we never want to forget.

Happy 10 months, little baker.
